Terms & Conditions

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

MacTuffX is a series of functional fitness and endurance events organised by MacTuff Limited, Enterprise Hub Fife, 1 Falkland Gate, Glenrothes, KY7 5NS, UK. Participation is subject to these Terms and Conditions (T&Cs), which form a binding agreement between you and MacTuff Limited.
 

2. REGISTRATION

Participants must complete the online registration form truthfully, be at least 18 years old on event day, accept these T&Cs, and pay all fees. Participants under 18 are not allowed under any circumstances. Providing false information will result in disqualification. The organiser reserves the right to suspend any tickets it deems are suspicious for any reason.

3. FEES AND PAYMENT

All prices include VAT. A small service fee may apply. Full payment is required at registration. If payment fails, the entry will not be confirmed.

 

4. REFUNDS, TRANSFERS AND DEFERRALS

Standard tickets are non-refundable. Should a Flex ticket be introduced, Flex tickets may be refunded 100% up to 30 days before the event, 50% between 29 days and 14 days before the event, and are non-refundable thereafter.

Tickets may be transferable to another participant or deferred to another event, subject to organiser approval and availability. Any transfer or deferral requests must be submitted no later than 48 hours before the event start time. Requests made within 48 hours of the event may not be accommodated.

 

A £12 switch fee applies to event deferrals and transfers. Participants wishing to request a transfer or deferral should contact info@mactuffx.com or submit an enquiry via the official contact form.

5. EVENT DAY REQUIREMENTS

Participants must bring valid photo ID, proof of registration, and any required health forms. Entry may be refused to anyone showing signs of illness or injury on the day.

 

5A. WAVE TIMES

The organiser will make every effort to ensure participants start within their allocated wave time. However, to ensure the safest and smoothest running of the event, wave times and event schedules may be adjusted where necessary.

Where significant changes are made to a participant’s start time, the organiser will aim to notify participants in advance via email or event communications.

6. CANCELLATION OR POSTPONEMENT

The organiser may cancel or postpone events due to weather, safety, or other uncontrollable factors. If cancelled, participants may transfer to another event, no refunds will be issued.

7. HEALTH, SAFETY AND LIABILITY

Participation is at your own risk. The organiser accepts no liability for injury or loss unless caused by negligence. Personal accident insurance is recommended.

8. PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA

By attending, you consent to being photographed or filmed. The organiser may use this content for any purpose, including promotional purposes without compensation.

9. DATA PROTECTION

Personal data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy for the purpose of managing registrations, results, and communications.

10. GOVERNING LAW

These T&Cs are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be settled exclusively in the Scottish courts.
